Grainhouse Studio – Hire Terms & Conditions

By paying your invoice, you acknowledge and agree to the following Hire Terms and Conditions.

Booking & Payment 

  • To request a booking, customers can contact Grainhouse Studio with their event date, location and preferred hire item.
  • An invoice will be issued for payment once availability has been confirmed.
  • A booking is confirmed once the required payment has been received.
  • Full payment must be made prior to delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • All hire prices are for a 24-hour hire period, unless otherwise stated.
  • Hire items remain the property of Grainhouse Studio at all times.

Delivery, Setup & Collection

  • Free delivery is available within 30 km of Kingaroy.
  • Delivery outside this area may be available for an additional travel fee, which will be quoted prior to booking.
  • Collection is not available.
  • The hirer must provide a safe and accessible delivery location and ensure someone is available to receive the hire items where required.

Care of Hire Items

The hirer agrees to:

  • Take reasonable care of all hire items during the hire period.
  • Keep hire items protected from theft, damage and adverse weather where possible.
  • Not modify, dismantle, relocate or tamper with hire equipment without prior approval from Grainhouse Studio.
  • Notify Grainhouse Studio as soon as possible if an item is damaged or becomes unsafe during the hire period.
  • Ensure all hire items are kept in a safe location for the duration of the hire.
  • Ensure hire items are available for collection at the agreed collection time.

Damage, Loss & Cleaning

The hirer is responsible for any damage, loss or theft occurring during the hire period. Repair or replacement costs will be charged where applicable.

Weather

Our hire items are suitable for indoor use and selected outdoor events. If your event is outdoors, all items must be placed in a covered and protected area.

The hirer is responsible for any damage caused by weather conditions, including wind, rain or excessive sun exposure.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days before the event will receive a refund, excluding any non-refundable booking deposit if applicable.
  • Cancellations within 14 days of the event may forfeit payments already made due to preparation and reserved booking time.

Security Deposit

  • Selected hire items require a refundable security deposit. This will be clearly listed on your invoice where applicable.
  • The security deposit is refunded within 48 hours after all hire items have been collected and inspected, provided they are returned in their original condition.
  • Grainhouse Studio reserves the right to deduct from the security deposit to cover damage, loss, excessive cleaning, late return costs or repair/replacement expenses.
  • If the cost of repair or replacement exceeds the security deposit, the hirer agrees to pay the remaining balance.

Liability

Grainhouse Studio is not liable for injury, loss or damage resulting from the misuse of hire items. The hirer accepts responsibility for ensuring all hire items are used safely and appropriately throughout the hire period.

Photography Backdrops

Photography backdrops must be used carefully and in an appropriate location.

The hirer is responsible for ensuring the backdrop is protected from excessive wind, rain and other conditions that could cause damage.

Backdrops must not be moved, dismantled or modified without prior approval from Grainhouse Studio.

Agreement

By paying your invoice, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Hire Terms & Conditions.
